Processing purposes

Steck Europe bv collects and processes personal data of customers for customer and order management (including customer administration, order/delivery follow-up, invoicing, solvency monitoring and sending marketing and personalised advertising).

Legal basis for processing

Personal data is processed on the basis of the following legal grounds from Article 6.1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Article 6.1 (b): processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the customer (including order management, delivery, invoicing).
• Article 6.1 (c): processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation (including accounting).
• Article 6.1 (f): processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of Steck Europe bv (including direct marketing to existing customers).

Sharing with third parties

Where necessary to achieve the stated purposes, the customer's personal data may be shared with other companies within the European Economic Area directly or indirectly linked to Steck Europe bv. Steck Europe bv guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

Retention period

Personal data processed for customer management will be retained for the period necessary to comply with legal requirements (including accounting), and for a maximum of 10 years after the end of the contractual relationship.

Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability

The customer has the right to access their personal data at any time and can have it corrected if inaccurate or incomplete, have it deleted, have its processing restricted and object to the processing of their personal data on the basis of Article 6.1 (e) or (f), including profiling. The customer also has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format) of their personal data and to have it transferred to another company.

Direct marketing

The customer has the right to object free of charge to any processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes.
